Dementia research is essential in helping to advance care
and treatments. There are a variety of ways people can be involved and being a
participant in research can range from being interviewed or completing a
questionnaire to taking part in a trial of new medicine.

BRACE funds clinical and laboratory research into dementia and supports researchers in South West England. Among BRACE’s aims are: to understand what causes the disease, to achieve earlier diagnosis, thereby giving new treatments and knowledge of prevention time to make a difference, and to find new and more powerful treatments.
