We have several volunteer positions and always welcome any support you can give.

  • Ongoing relevant training as needed
  • Visit our monthly Memory Café – Happy Days whenever you can – join in the fun and celebrate living with Dementia

All our volunteers must have

  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Be flexible
  • Be reliable
  • Have office skills (if relevant for position)
  • Work unpaid! However travel expenses can be paid.

Gifts In Wills

Our dream for the future is a city where those living with dementia, their carers and families feel welcomed, valued and supported, whether they are living, working or visiting. Bristol will become a beacon which leads the UK in enriching the lives of people living with dementia.

Your decision to include a gift in your Will, can bring us closer to making Bristol THE Dementia Friendly City in the UK. We’d like to offer our thanks on behalf of generations to come for considering taking action which will improve their lives.

All you need is the charity’s name (Bristol Dementia Action Alliance) and registered charity number (1167404) along with our address: 8 Oakhurst Road, Bristol, BS9 3TQ.

BDAA Chair: Tony Hall says:

“I started BDAA as my way of standing up to Dementia and doing something to help everyone affected by this illness. Barbara and I have always been a team and together we have built this charity with amazing support. Now we’re asking for your support to help us make Bristol THE Dementia Friendly City of the UK and to be an example to the whole country. Our aim is to lead the way and help and support others to create their own Dementia Friendly villages, cities and counties. Please support us any way you can to achieve this.”

Our Trustee Anna Molter is a Solicitor at Barcan+Kirby and has generously written this ‘How to Guide’ if you wish to make a gift to BDAA in your will.
