Bristol Dementia Awards 2026

Bristol actor and BBC Radio presenter Joe Sims hosted the Bristol Dementia Awards for the third year running on Friday 9th October.

Joe kept everyone entertained as he shone a light on all the brilliant individuals, groups and organisations making a difference to the lives of those affected by dementia.

Joe emphasised how important it is to look locally to see all the good that is being achieved by individuals and organisations.

Local charity Bristol Dementia Action Alliance was delighed by the number of nominations received. The awards highlight the fantastic work taking place across the city to raise dementia awareness and support those impacted by dementia.

Finalists were treated to an afternoon tea at the Awards Ceremony at the Aztec Hotel & Spa who supported the event.

BDAA Chair William O’Neill thanked everyone for their amazing contribution towards making Bristol a dementia aware city.

He thanked BDAA Founder and Ambassador Tony Hall for this amazing dedication in founding BDAA with his wife Barbara 13 years ago and continuing to make such a big impact in the city.

Any businesses, organisations or groups wanting to apply for the awards next year can contact BDAA on office@bdaa.org.uk to express their interest.
