Each year, Year 6 Elmlea children put on a “Leavers Play” for their parents, just prior to moving on to secondary school. Parents are asked to contribute to a retiring collection to show their appreciation, which is then given to a local charity. Guess who they gave it to this year? That’s right, the CHILDREN, not the teachers, asked that it be given to BDAA and the Purple Angel Campaign to give to Young People’s Dementia to help young people live with Dementia. I think we can call that a result!
