On Tuesday23rd September, as a result of taking part in a Dementia awareness workshop, the 93rd Bristol (Westbury Park) Guides joined the Purple Angel Campaign and became Dementia aware.
Following some introductory comments, the girls dramatized some scenarios involving people with Dementia to the other “Patrols”.
They then made a Purple Angel “We are Dementia Aware” poster and watched a short DVD produced by Patchway Community School and Patchway DAA.
So Bristol now has another 24 young Purple Angels, plus their leaders, increasing Dementia awareness!
